Baptist Health Paducah and KODA sponsor ShootOut for Life tourney

Baptist Health Paducah and KODA (Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates) are co-sponsoring the ShootOut for Life basketball tournament at McCracken County High School on Saturday.

Baptist Health Paducah and KODA (Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates) are co-sponsoring the ShootOut for Life basketball tournament at McCracken County High School on Saturday.

Games will feature Carlisle County vs. Lyon County boys at 6 p.m., followed by McCracken boys vs. University Heights at 7:30 p.m.

At halftime, attendees will hear how organ donation can save countless lives. People who have pledged to be an organ donor by signing the back of their driver’s license may register to win a new TV. Anyone who signs a pledge at the game also will be registered.

“Our core purpose is honoring the gift of donation,” said Vanessa Dallas, RN, KODA hospital development coordinator. “One of the greatest gifts you can give this season is you can be an organ donor someday.”
