A Donor Family Quilt memorializing and honoring Kentucky individuals who helped others through organ and tissue donations will be on display April 19-20 at Baptist Health Lexington. A representative of Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) will be at the display to answer questions about organ and tissue donation and offer an opportunity join the Kentucky Organ Donor Registry.

The display – open 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. both days – will be located near the entrance to Café Central, the hospital’s main cafeteria, on the second level of the 1720 building.

Baptist Health Lexington recently joined other area hospitals and KODA in the National Hospital Organ Donation Campaign. The campaign challenges hospitals to educate employees, patients, visitors and the community about the crucial need for organ, eye, and tissue donation, and to provide opportunities to register as donors.

Those who cannot visit the display may learn more about organ donation and join the registry by visiting KODA’s website, http://donatelife.net/ndlm/
