Baptist Health Paducah introduces Dina Byers, PhD, APRN, ACNS-BC, as newest board member

PADUCAH, KY (February 15, 2024) - Baptist Health Paducah is pleased to announce the appointment of Dina Byers, PhD, APRN, ACNS-BC, as the newest member of its esteemed board. Dr. Byers’ passion for healthcare is evident through her current role as Dean of Murray State University’s School of Nursing and Health Professions. 

With 25 years of experience in nursing, encompassing both clinical practice and education, Dr. Byers is poised to provide invaluable insights to the Baptist Health board. Her current role as Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Professions equips her with a profound understanding of the future of healthcare, enabling Baptist Health to effectively address the evolving needs of the next generation.

Dr. Byers earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Murray State University. She then furthered her studies at Murray State, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing, before completing her PhD in Nursing at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.

Assuming a four-year term on the board, Dr. Byers succeeds Ronnie James, who concluded two consecutive four-year terms at the close of 2023. Her appointment reflects Baptist Health Paducah’s continued commitment to fostering diverse perspectives and expertise within its leadership, ensuring the delivery of exceptional healthcare services to the community.
