APPOINTMENTS

Baptist Cardiac Surgery’s main office at 3900 Kresge Way is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., although your individual doctor’s office schedule may vary. The offices at Baptist Cardiac Surgery’s other locations also have a varied schedule. Please call in order to determine hours of operation for each. Appointments are scheduled in advance, however same day appointments are available. You are urged to call as early as possible to make the most convenient appointment for you.

Upon making your initial appointment we ask that you arrive early to complete the necessary insurance and medical forms. In the event that you must cancel your appointment we ask that you give at least 24-hour notice. Please bring your insurance cards and a list of all your current medications.

In non-emergency situations, we ask you to call our office during regular business hours so that we are able to refer to your chart.

PRESCRIPTIONS

You may call for prescription refills from 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please allow 48 hours from the time of your call for your prescription to be refilled.

FEES AND PAYMENTS

Our fees, based on various factors, are set according to the prevailing rates existing in the community. Precertification , the services allowed, and the amount of reimbursement varies greatly among insurance carriers. Please read your plan carefully for the explanation of benefits.

For your convenience, we participate with most insurance companies and will submit your claims. Co-pays must be paid when you sign in. If you owe a balance from a previous visit, you must pay it also. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discovery and American Express credit cards.

If you are having financial problems, we will be happy to work with you to set up a payment plan. You must ask to see someone in our billing department if you need assistance in paying the bill.

NON-EMERGENCIES

In non-emergency situations, we ask you to call our office between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, so that we may be able to refer to your chart. Our staff can answer many questions.

EMERGENCIES

Emergencies will always receive priority regardless of the time of day. After hours and on weekends the office phones are answered by an answering service that can immediately contact the physician/physician extender on-call for emergencies. In the event of an emergency that cannot wait for a physician to call, we advise seeking immediate care in the closest emergency room. The emergency room personnel will then contact us.
