Clint Kaho, FACHE, MSHA, MBA, has been named president of Baptist Health La Grange. He has served as interim president at the hospital since August. He succeeds Chris Roty, who was recently named president of Baptist Health Paducah.

“It is both an honor and privilege to be entrusted with the role of president at Baptist Health La Grange,” said Kaho. “I’m fortunate to be joining a team that demonstrates its commitment to the care of our patients and the overall health and wellbeing of our community on a daily basis. As a resident of Oldham County, I’m looking forward to now being an integral part of continuing and growing the Baptist Health mission and vision to the community I call home.”

Prior to accepting this new challenge, Kaho served as vice president at Baptist Health Louisville. As part of that position, he guided the transition of Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, now Baptist Health Floyd, into the Baptist Health family in 2016.

Kaho began his career at Baptist as an administrative resident in 2005. He was hired as a director at Baptist Health Louisville in 2006 to oversee the parallel opening of Baptist Health Eastpoint, the system’s 190,000-square-foot outpatient services and medical offices building, which opened in 2009, and the development of Park Tower, an eight-story addition to the hospital that opened in 2008.

His leadership of those projects led him to receive the Early Career HealthCare Executive Regent’s Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) in 2013. Kaho currently serves as president-elect of the Kentucky Chapter of ACHE.

Kaho advanced to assistant vice president and was named a vice president at Baptist Health Louisville in 2011. As vice president, he oversees cardiovascular services, worked closely to establish a new infusion center to serve cancer patients at Baptist Health La Grange, and also is playing a key role in the expansion and renovation of the Baptist Health Louisville Emergency Department, one of the busiest in the state.

Kaho has worked closely with physician groups — opening two joint venture surgery centers and transitioning independent physician clinics to a hospital outpatient department. Other departments he has led include Radiology, Property Management and Construction, Plant Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Environmental Services, Food Services and Information Technology.

In his new position, Clint will serve as president of Baptist Health La Grange and as a vice president of Baptist Health Louisville to lead cardiovascular services at both hospitals.

“Clint’s belief in the value of teamwork and his ability to oversee complex projects will serve him well in his new role,” said Baptist Health La Grange Board Chair Gayle Johnson. “We have complete confidence that Clint will further Baptist Health La Grange’s growth and its mission to coordinate care and improve the health of our community.”

Kaho serves on the Board of the Oldham County Chamber of Commerce and on the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana Scholarship Committee. Kaho earned master’s degrees in health administration and business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and undergraduate degrees in health services administration and finance from the University of Evansville.

He and his wife, Laurie, have two elementary school-age daughters, Allison and Jillian. Laurie is intervention coordinator at Camden Station Elementary School in Crestwood.
